MY STORY
I began by getting my BA with a focus on social justice and health. While that is still a passion of mine, I found that I wanted to focus on the individual and how to improve everyday life and dealing with those bigger issues for people. This started me on way towards getting my counseling degree. It also made my passion for underserved communities very strong and I enjoy both serving and being an ally to those communities, including the LGBTQ+ community.
9 years later I am so grateful I made that choice! With the years of experience, I have in counseling, you can expect a safe and welcoming place to discuss issues that are on your mind. First, I will get to know you and what is helpful for you in therapy. Then, I will tailor sessions to your needs. That could be a place to talk out what is on your mind or different ways to cope with your struggles. I like to include all parts of a person's identity in my work with them, including race, ethnicity, religion, gender and sexuality, to name just a few! I have helped people from all walks of life and all ages and to better cope with stress, anxiety, OCD, cultural issues, depression, life transitions, sexuality and gender, grief, ADHD, and relationship issues (to name just a few). My two dogs also like to say hello in sessions!
